Iraina Mancini The Wild Horse Club

Meet the Amazing Iraina Mancini  ❤️

Hi Guys,

This week I want to feature my best friend Iraina Mancini. This is my first photography shoot of 2022, and it was so much fun- we got some amazing shots but we also had the best girls afternoon. I am a big believer that every good shoot involves trashing my studio, and this time believe me we fully trashed it 🤣.

Iraina is the ultimate rock chick. She has this incredible unique 60s style which has made her a muse many times over reminding me of a brunette Bridget Bardot. I was so excited to shoot her for The Wild Horse Club. She has been writing music from a young age and is a musician, DJ, radio host and also has her own cult radio show on the legendary Soho Radio, which is broadcast every Tuesday.

It is always brilliant shooting Iraina and I was over the moon when she loved our collection. Read Iraina's interview below and I want to wish everyone a great rest of the week,

 Caroline xx

How did you get into music?

My father was a musician and I used to listen to his music and record collection. It inspired me to write my own music, so I started experimenting with ideas on the piano. I used to record the ideas on my little karaoke box and play them with my friends. When I left school rather than going to Uni, I joined a band, much to my parents' dismay!

 Where did you grow up?

I grew up in west London, I feel very lucky and proud to be a Londoner. All that wonderful culture and creativity on your doorstep.

Is anyone in your family a musician?

Yes, my father and his parents were all musicians. I actually found a couple of piano compositions my grandfather had written for my grandmother, really beautiful love songs. My cousins are musicians too, so it runs in the family.

What's your main passion/ day job?

My main passion is my Music, DJing and Radio. I am obsessed with Northern Soul, Ska, Funk and 60s Rhythm & Blues. I present a radio show on Soho Radio all about the music from the 60s/70s and interview my new favourite bands. I love DJing and making people dance, it's such a joy. I also write my own music.

What are you working on right now?

I am writing and recording an album, I released 3 singles last year which I'm pleased to say were greatly received so excited to put out more.

 Can you describe your style?

I love that 60s/70s style. Jane Birkin, Bardot, Anita Pallenberg and Marianne Faithfull.

What piece of jewellery would you like to see us design?

I really like silver rings with stones, birthstone rings would be awesome and mood rings... Remember mood rings!

What life advice would you pass on to your 17-year-old self?

The advice I would give myself would to be more courageous. There is going to be a lot of knockbacks, heartache, and difficult moments, but there is also going to be adventures, love and dreams that come true. Be brave and push yourself to the limit, don't let your insecurities hold you back. You can achieve anything you put your mind to.

 Ever ridden a horse?

I rode a horse when I was young, and I remember jumping on and being terrified. The longer the day went on though I relaxed and suddenly a wonderful sense of freedom came over me and complete trust with me and the horse.
